What do you do with those palm branches you brought home from church today? Try lining a basket with them, then use them for daily family devotions to remind your family about the significance of each day this week.
Devotional thoughts for each day will be posted here on my blog.
-
Sunday: Read Mark 11:1-11 and line your basket with palm leaves (use a substitute if you need to).
-
Monday: Read Mark 11:12-19 and place fruit in the basket.
-
Tuesday: Read Matthew 22:1-10 and add pictures or symbols from a wedding in your basket.
-
Wednesday: Read Matthew 26:14-15 and place 30 coins in the basket.
-
Thursday: Read John 13:1-5 and Matthew 26:26-29. Lay a bowl, towel, and some bread in your basket.
-
Friday: Read Luke 23:32-43. Add a cross and three large nails in your basket.
-
Saturday: Read Psalm 22. Cover your basket with a cloth or blanket.
-
Sunday: Read Matthew 28:1-10. Remove the cloth and add Easter lilies or other fresh flowers to the basket.
(This idea was borrowed and modified - sorry, I don’t remember the source!)
